Aliss is a licensed marriage and family therapist, psychedelic facilitator, group facilitator, presenter, and consultant. She holds an M.A. in Integral Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies and B.A. in Liberal Studies with emphases in English Literature and Business Administration from University of California, Riverside. After a decade in tech manufacturing and IP licensing, Aliss experienced a TBI, that set her on a purpose-driven life transition and career change.
Her healing journey led her to become a psychotherapist, contribute to pioneering research in the field of psychedelic therapy through MDMA and psilocybin clinical studies. She brought her wealth of knowledge and experience to aspiring psychedelic therapists, having served as a mentor and group facilitator for Integrative Psychiatry Institute’s psychedelic therapy certification program, guiding therapists and physicians toward excellence in this transformative field, supporting the transformation of human traumas and ailments into greater awareness, change process, and expanding people's ability to live with more joy, love, and reconnection.
Individuals, couples, and groups come to Aliss from a broad spectrum of professions, including technology, healthcare, government, academia, entertainment, hospitality, finance, law, and the arts. She specializes in guiding clients through life's intricate challenges, facilitating personal growth and resilience, nurturing self-esteem, guiding purposeful life transitions, exploring unexpressed needs and boundaries, and fostering deeper, more meaningful connections. Her practice offers a sanctuary for inner exploration, healing, and metamorphoses, with cathartic tears, easeful sighs, and delightful giggles of ah-ha moments through the course of therapy.
As a Lead Psychedelic Facilitator at University of California, San Francisco's Translational Psychedelics Research Program, Aliss plays a pivotal role in pioneering clinical studies in psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy. Her work extends to assisting those living with Bipolar 2 Depression, chronic back pain, Parkinson's, and healthy adults.
Shaped by her multicultural immigrant background, harm reduction advocacy, and practice of diverse modalities including Gestalt, Humanistic-Existential, Transpersonal, Tamura Method, and goal-driven empowerment coaching, she offers holistic therapy and facilitation for anxiety and depression, stress, personal growth, and life transitions.
